Obituary: Hilary Clifford

Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of our most cherished and respected club members, Hilary Clifford.

Hilary was not only a highly accomplished bowler, but also a dear friend to so many of us. Her remarkable sporting achievements and unwavering dedication to the club have left a lasting legacy, and she will be remembered with deep admiration and affection by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

On behalf of everyone at the club, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Colin and the family during this difficult time. Please know that our thoughts are with you.

Hilary’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and contributions to our community will never be forgotten.

Hilary’s funeral will take place on Thursday, May 29, starting with a service at 12:30pm at St Elli Church, Church Road, Llanelly, Gilwern, NP7 0HG. This will be followed by a committal at Gwent Crematorium, Cwmbran, at 2pm.

The family will be holding a wake at Monmouthshire Golf Club, Gypsy Lane, Llanfoist, Abergavenny, NP7 9HE.

Hilary touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and love of bowls. The family welcome all who knew her – or wish to pay their respects -to attend.
