We’re delighted to share that the long-awaited refurbishment of our Pavilion is nearing completion, with the finishing touches expected by May — marking a major milestone in the transformation of our club’s facilities. What was once a well-used but seasonal bowling facility has now been thoughtfully transformed into a warm, welcoming, eco-friendly space that can now be enjoyed all year round.
The updated Pavilion boasts a completely renewed interior, a more efficient and accessible layout, and state-of-the-art energy-saving upgrades — helping us reduce both our running costs and environmental impact. It’s now a flexible space designed to support a wide range of activities for our members and the wider community for years to come.
This achievement simply wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and generosity of our club members, along with the invaluable support of our main sponsors: Wales Sport, Bannau Brycheiniog Brecon National Park Authority, and Gilwern Village Tote. We’re also incredibly grateful to the local contractors who brought the project to life with such professionalism and care: J. Doyle Construction, R.W.D Solar, T Walker Electrics, R Hemmings Plastering, C. Walters Heating Services, and Acorn uPVC Installations.
While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, there’s still more to do. Like many community projects, we’ve had to make every penny count, which means a few finishing touches — such as furnishings and additional equipment — remain on our wish list. We’re committed to completing this project to the highest standard and, with continued support, are hopeful we’ll soon be able to complete everything in the not to distant future.
In the meantime, we warmly welcome anyone who’d like to see the progress for themselves. Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a curious visitor, a potential new member, or simply someone who enjoys seeing positive things happening locally — we’d love for you to drop in, say hello, and see what’s been achieved.
This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our club — and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Mae’r hyn oedd yn gyfleuster bowlio da, ond tymhorol, bellach wedi’i drawsnewid yn ofod cynnes, croesawgar a charedig i’r amgylchedd, â ellir ei fwynhau trwy’r flwyddyn.
